Submission Guidelines of
Addto E-commerce and Internet Marketing Directory
How to add a Site?
First, check to see if your site is already included in the directory
by searching for your site using the search box. If your site is already
there, you need to use the change site link if you want to update information
on your site.
To suggest a site or add your site,
- First, go to our homepage. Then, click into
a relavant category of the directory and then drill down into the most
suitable sub-category. At the right hand side of the search box, please
click the link "Add my site".
- Fill in the registration form. If you think
that there is no category that matches your site, you can also make
your suggestion in the field called "Suggest a Category Here".
- You will join our addto!member list
after your site is accepted. We use it to communicate with you,
and help you grow your business. All information provided will be kept
confidential!
- We will then review your site and let you
know the results as soon as possible, probably, within several days
to 3 weeks. Please be patient!
Accepting a Site: Basic Principles
We try our best to include high quality sites only. Thus, the following
rules are set:
- The site must make some contribution to internet business firms.Sites
must operate a legal and ethical business with no intention of deceiving
customers.
- The site should have its' own domain name. It is a kind of proof that
you are serious in your business.
- In general, you cannot submit more than one page for each domain name
except
- You have a separate web page describing your own 2-tier
affiliate/reseller program(s). If so, please also suggest the page under
a sub-category of category "Join profitable affiliate program".
- You have a separate web page to solicit business partners/sponsors.
If so, suggest the page under a sub-category of "Seek partnership"
category.
- You have a separate web page to announce that you not only conduct
e-commerce but also you are willing to make substantial financial investments
to other e-businesses. If so, suggest the page under a sub-category
of "Finance e-business" category.
- Spamming the directory may be penalized by lowering your position
in the directory, or by rejecting your submission altogether.
- The web site must suggest a relevant category/sub-category. If you
found that there is no suitable category/sub-category to your site,
you can suggest a new one to us. However, we make the final decision
regarding whether a new category/sub-category will be opened for you.
Sites Which Must Be Rejected
- Sites encouraging or engaging in, copyright infringement, warez site,
discrimination, credit card fraud, hacking, war, unethical practices,
and any illegal activity, will be rejected. Most importantly, sites
must operate a legal and ethical business.
- Sites frequently reported as an illegal or an unethical business may
be excluded not only in the addto directory but also ban from joining
this community.
- Sites with more than 1 broken link or under construction will be rejected.
- Sites whose primary intent is to redirect users to another site/page.
- Sites that contain only links to other sites/pages machine-generated
pages with minimal or no content, whose sole purpose is to get a user
to click to another page.
- Sites with text that is not easily read, either because it is too
small or is obscured by the background of the page

Currently, website registration can only accept English web sites, though
web sites written in other languages may be accepted in the future.
